Modern engines, whether diesel or petrol, demand far higher filtration quality than before:

Oil change intervals are getting longer and engine performance continues to increase, both trends resulting in the need for more efficient and durable oils and filters.

Injection systems and the latest generation of fuel pumps for both diesel and petrol engines are particularly sensitive to contaminants with particle sizes as small as 15-20 microns. As little as 5 grammes foreign matter (including water) is enough to cause terminal damage to a modern injection system.

Responding to these stringent performance needs we have developed a product that incorporates the latest technology to satisfy the most exacting standards.

Quality standards: Oil filters meet or exceed the SAE HS-806 standard; fuel filters achieve ISO 4020.

Seals: - Our seals guarantee the finest dimensional tolerances, have excellent resistance to degradation from hydrocarbons and have an operating range from -25°C to +150°C (-15°-300°F)

Valves: All oil filters have a calibrated by-pass and a non-return valve, and where necessary an anti-drain valve.

Tests: Each filter is individually pressure tested at 3 bars for fuel filters and 8 bars for oil filters, fuel filters are further tested for cleanliness, water separation and life cycle.

Protection caps: The oil filters are protected with a dust cap fitted on the production line. This helps reduce contamination of the filter before fitting and can be used on the old filter to reduce oil spills.

Insurance: MECATECH 's industry beating commitment to quality and service is well known. In addition, our filters are covered by product insurance with AGF, one of Europe's biggest insurance companies.

SHORT RANGE: Only nine models for oil, 4 for petrol, and 15 for diesel are enough to cover the vast majority of cars.
